Island Company is looking for a qualified Tech Designer, in-house in West Palm Beach. Relocation provided. Come work in the sun! Candidate must possess:
--Excellent communication skills
--Receive direction for new styles and execute the inquiry
--Work closely with Design Dept on industry trends, direction, colors etc..
--Must be proficient in creating complete tech packs/sketches in excel/illustrator formats.
--Both Knit and Woven experience a plus (tops & bottoms).
--Working knowledge of patterns and markers
--Coordinate with design & production departments to ensure correct execution of proto samples
--Communicate construction and design details clearly to overseas vendors.
--Must be able to spec garments and evaluate samples.
--Ability to handle QC matters
--Will be responsible for attending fittings and making all comments/updates
--Will be able to effectively communicate technical changes and provide solutions to factories.
--Must be organized and have a sense of urgency to meet all design and production calendar deadlines.
--Must be a self-starter that can work both independently and as a team member in a fast paced environment.
--Should have understanding of specs, grade rules and how to apply them.
