Island Company Celebrates New Worth Avenue Location
Just in time to mark its 10th anniversary, tropical lifestyle outfitter Island Company moves to a new location on Worth Avenue, upgrading from a 450-square-foot site to one more than five times larger. “The whole experience is designed to make you leave the sidewalk and feel like you entered another dimension, like you are on vacation,” Spencer Antle, founder and creative director of Island Company, said of the new location. The store continues Island Company’s signature ambiance, a mix of Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Asian themes, with a Jeep thrown in between clothes racks for good measure.
Island Company celebrated the move into the 2,300-square-foot space at 256 Worth Avenue, previously occupied by Gucci, with a party for more than 750 VIP guests and a live performance by reggae artist Gramps Morgan. The Island Company store is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
